NASHVILLE, TN -- Regal Records recording artist David Joseph will be performing at 40 military bases across the country starting on April 14th. Along with his performances, 25,000 DVDs will be given away of his debut music video titled "I'm Coming Home."
"It is vital that those who serve in the Armed Forces know, that we truly appreciate their sacrifice as well as their families and the video giveaway by David is a small gesture of that appreciation" explains Sam Cerami a long-time music industry veteran responsible for promoting such country superstars such as Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Reba McEntire.
Chaplain Lieutenant Carlton Fisher, who served in Cuter and Iraq in 2003, along with serving in Afghanistan in 2005 and 2006, asked David to write a home coming song for our troops, to be performed live at a "Coming Home" conference for Military Chaplains in Nashville, July of 2004. Unfortunately, David was unable to attend that conference, but the song he wrote for it would stand as a tribute for all men and woman serving our country. This soon to be beloved country single is set from beginning to end as a telephone conversation between Dad (soldier), Mom and their little girl. "Although we deeply grieve for those who will not be returning to us and our hearts and prayers are with them and their loved ones, "I'm Coming Home" was written as an Anthem for those who will be reunited with their families as their current tour of duty ends and for those who are already home" says David Joseph.
A music video was soon produced and military personnel at bases across the country were requesting it, in very large numbers along with inviting David to make an appearance. David goes on to say "While over several hundred thousand copies of the video have been requested, 25,000 copies have been produced and they will be given away to our extended military families, thanks in part to a financial contribution from Scheider National Trucking." He further states "I am also very honored and humbled to be able to make an appearance at each installation providing performances as well."
With the single "I'm Coming Home" currently released, Arm Forces Radio has stated they will be adding it to their playlist. The video will hit Great American Country Television Network (GAC) & Country Music Television Network (CMT) sometime in late spring.
David Joseph is scheduled to appear at each military installations Main Exchange. Between 500 & 1,000 DVDs will be given away at each base. All extended Military families are welcomed to attend these free concerts and to receive the DVD music video "I'm Coming Home."
