Heavy Hitters Vol. 1 will be distributed both physically and digitally to over 1,000 professional DJs for consideration of play in their venues. The advantage of this approach besides the potential club spins and radio airplay is that most record pools provide feedback to artists about their music and its commercial appeal. Their input can perhaps save participating artists both time and money when deciding which song to release and promote on a larger scale.
The submission deadline is December 31, 2007 with the album slated for release in the first quarter of 2008.
