"The Assistants" Wraps Principal Photography

LOS ANGELES, CA -- "They are the eyes and ears of Hollywood. Every script, every contract, every birthday card passes through their hands. They know every actor's price. Principal photography wraps today on Steve Morris' independent feature, The Assistants, starring Joe Mantegna, Stacy Keach, Jane Seymour and an ensemble cast which includes Chris Conner, Aaron Himelstein, Kathleen Early, Michael Grant Terry, Tate Hanyok, Peter Douglas, Jonathan Bennett, and Reiko Aylesworth.

Financed independently and produced under SAG's Modified Low Budget Agreement, The Assistants chronicles the lives of a group of aspiring young filmmakers who, when their careers haven't turned out as planned, decide to use their positions as hollywood assistants, to lie, cheat, con, and blackmail their own film into production. However, what begins as a hollywood caper movie, quickly grows more complex as the group of friends is challenged by choices which threaten to tear them apart.
