LENEXA, KS -- The public safety supply business, OMB's Express Police Supply, Inc., is now recycling several items such as newspapers, catalogs, ad inserts, magazines, catalogs, phonebooks, corrugated cartons, brochures, office paper, manila folders, junk mail, carrier stock, chipboard, aluminum cans, plastic water and soda bottles, plastic milk jugs and detergent bottles.
Items also being recycled include batteries. A local battery retailer will take all of their old batteries and recycle them. The company feels it is a lot better then putting them in the garbage where they would end up in a landfill.
"We are trying to do our part to help the environment. All of our Team Members are participating in this effort and we have placed recycling containers in each room here", said Donna Jeffries, customer service representative.
"We acknowledge our environmental footprint we create by mailing catalogs across the country. Although recyclable, these catalogs do imprint on the environment. To compensate, we started this recycling initiative and hope our customers recycle our catalogs at the end of their life cycle", said Robert Ralph, President of OMB's Express Police Supply.
OMB's Express Police Supply has contracted with Deffenbaugh Industries to handle the removal and processing of the recyclable materials.
Established in 1995 OMB's Express Police Supply has grown rapidly into an equipment supply leader to the law enforcement and public safety sector. The company consists of a national direct mail catalog, the retail store based in Lenexa Kansas, an e-commerce website, and an outside sales team. History and more information can be found on the "About Us" page on the company's website.
