New Spin on Online Dating Announced

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON -- Seattle-based company MyZog announced their new website, myzog.com, today. The website offers free web socialization services, including the ability to browse users who are currently online in your area and chat with them in real time. Due to be launched this summer, users are signing up now in preparation for the public beta.

MyZog differs from other online dating sites in that it focuses on discovering new people to meet in your area in a fun, visual way. According to MyZog co-founder Jonah Dempcy, "The objective of this site is to allow users to meet and chat with people in their area effortlessly. So many other sites require filling out endless forms so a computer can match you with someone. I wanted the focus of MyZog to be on finding and meeting real people in your area."

Features of the site include real-time chat and a ranking system based on "zogs" and "yogs." The system allows you to zog users you like and yog users you don't, as well as having the ability to chat with users you've zogged and see which users are zogging you.
