ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS -- River Diagnostics B.V. located in Rotterdam, Netherlands today announced the appointment of Mr. Gianfranco (John) Battista as Director of North American Sales effective immediately. Most recently, Mr. Battista was with MDS Sciex of South San Francisco, California as National Accounts Manager Eastern North America.
Welcoming his appointment, Dr. Gerwin Puppels, Chief Executive Officer of River Diagnostics, said;" I am delighted to welcome Mr. Battista as our new Director of Sales for the Skin Analysis Business Unit. John brings with him a wealth of sales and customer service experience that we highly regard. This appointment represents our continued commitment to support the Personal Skin Care, and Trans Dermal Drug Delivery research markets in the United States with innovative applications of our non invasive RAMAN technology platform."
Mr. Battista graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and spent several years at Griffin Hospital and Yale University School of Medicine as a Research Assistant. He has worked with Beckman Coulter, Eastman Kodak and Vitra Bioscience in various sales management positions. He will be located in the New Haven, Connecticut area with his wife and family.
Reflecting on his appointment, John said, "I am very excited at the prospect of developing River Diagnostics position in the personal care and pharmaceutical markets. I look forward to expanding our position within the research community."
