KANSAS CITY, MO -- The office of Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill has at last referred the anti-trust case of Lee's Summit, Missouri, entrepreneur Samuel Lipari, now in its eighth year, to the Department of Justice Inspector General.
From this point forward, it is the job of the Inspector General to root out the sources of corruption in its own Department of Justice for having consistently obstructed Lipari from getting a fair shake from the courts.
Lipari's anti-trust lawsuit has sought to reveal the epic greed of three Goliath companies-VHA, Novation LLC and General Electric-for cornering the U.S. market in artificially jacking up and controlling the cost of medical supplies in every doctor's office, clinic, hospital, nursing and care facility in the nation for the past decade.
Using his own funds and representing himself without benefit of legal counsel, Lipari has steadfastly attempted to protect the common, ordinary citizen by disarming this triumverate cartel that successfully extorts billions each year from Americans seeking healthcare.
"These three companies have deep pockets," says Lipari, "lined with preposterously vast earnings from fraudulent and usurious fees garnered by anyone who sees a doctor or seeks medical care."
Records obtained by Lipari provide irrefutable documentation of wiretapping, Internet surveillance and corruption by the Department of Justice, VHA, Novation LLC and General Electric in a years-long feint to block Lipari from entering-and reducing cost in-the nation's current $1.8 trillion hospital-supplies market.
"In this gigantic fiscal landscape," says Lipari, "Medicare and Medicaid are regularly bilked by VHA, Novation LLC and General Electric through monopolistic group purchasing organizations. These GPOs extort kickbacks by passing illegal management fees to member hospitals on to government and private health insurance funds."
The civil case addressing the Department of Justice's illegal interference with Lipari is Lipari v. General Electric Company, et al, US District Court for the Western District of Missouri Case no. 07-0849-CV-W-FJG, presided over by Fernando J. Gaitan, Jr., Chief Judge of the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
