A Unique Experience In Triathlon Training Camps

This retreat takes place at The Essex, Vermont's Culinary Resort and Spa and home to New England's Culinary School. Daily activities during the weekend retreat include, masters type swim practice, running technique and trail runs, beautiful yet challenging bike rides through scenic Vermont, cooking classes and nutrition seminars. In addition, the Essex has a brand 20,000 sq ft new spa facility, ropes course, tennis courts and delicious restaurants brought to you by the culinary students. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the importance of whole foods and its effects on performance. In addition to understanding which foods athletes should we be eating and which they should be avoiding, participants learn how to easily implement the foods in their daily lives with hands on training. Finally after three days of intense physical training, participants will come away with a new level of skill and be ready to tackle their triathlon season. Elizabeth Stein, USAT Triathlon Coach & Certified Holistic Nutrition Counselor, and Jason Gerhart, USAT Triathlon Coach, facilitate this retreat.
