The popularity of Volunteer Abroad programs and the permanent peace agreement has also helped facilitate the level of cooperation between foreign and local NGO's. Global Crossroad has augmented the number of available positions in its nursery program in the village Chitwan, where volunteers help locals prepare nursery beds and plant various indigenous tree species.
Volunteer in Costa Rica programs has seen its packages include new programs like the 2 week mini ventures destined to be a crash course in volunteering.
