New Vitamin Supplement Targets Type 2 Diabetes in Men

Jun 11, 2008
"While the leading pills on the market have strong records of lowering blood sugar levels, they also pose risks, including toxic side effects."

CARLSBAD, CA -- DJM & Associates, LLC announced the release of Glutronamin, the world's first vitamin specifically formulated for men with type 2 diabetes. Offering a natural alternative to expensive, and sometimes toxic hypoglycemic drugs, Glutronamin supports both lower blood sugar and healthy organ function.

Estimates are as many as 10 million men in America suffer from Type 2 diabetes, which affects a person's ability to produce insulin or causes them to become resistant to the hormone. The body uses insulin to break down sugars and starches into glucose, which is the basic fuel for our cells.

Without insulin, glucose builds up in the blood instead of going into the cells. That can cause several problems. First, cells can become starved for energy. Second, increased sugar in the blood stream can cause circulatory problems, with two of the more prevalent side effects being pain and tingling in the hands and feet and erectile dysfunction in men. Finally, over time, high blood glucose levels can cause serious damage to the eyes, kidneys, nerves and heart. Long-term exposure to elevated blood sugar can be fatal.

The primary method for treating diabetes today is the use of oral medications, called hypoglycemic drugs. While the leading pills on the market have strong records of lowering blood sugar levels, they also pose risks, including toxic side effects. In some cases, these risks can be as serious as diabetes itself.

According to Dave Murcott, CEO of DJM & Associates, "Another challenge with hypoglycemic drugs is they treat the symptom, high blood sugar, but not the underlying problem, poor lifestyle choices. Diet and exercise are the keys to reversing Type 2 Diabetes and should be the first treatment prescribed. But, the medical community struggles to enforce lifestyle changes and finds it easier to prescribe a pill. Unfortunately, without lifestyle changes, hypoglycemic drugs are a lifelong sentence for diabetics."

Glutronamin was formulated as a natural alternative to prescription drugs. When combined with a healthy lifestyle, the vitamin helps reduce high blood sugar levels over time. In addition to being a comprehensive daily men's multivitamin, Glutronamin contains the supplements, Spirulina, Cinnamon and Alpha Lipoic Acids. In scientific studies in America and abroad, these three ingredients have all been shown to support lower blood sugar levels in diabetics.

Why is Glutronamin only for men? According to Murcott, "Some of the ingredients have been found to be more successful in lowering blood sugar for men than women. We are working on a women's formula, but we're not there yet." He warns against trying to take shortcuts to better health. "Glutronamin isn't a magic bullet. But it is ammunition in the war on diabetes. You have to take control of your life with a healthy diet and regular exercise if you really want to win."
