SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -- Speculative oil futures are predicted to reach a minimum of $150.00 a barrel by year end, the costs associated with Air Medical Transportation in the Helicopter (Rotor Wing) and Private Jet / Twin Propeller Aircraft (Fixed Wing) Industries continue to soar. In previous years and even more so now, a number of Air Medical Companies attempt to overcome the rising costs of petroleum products with appalling practices in order to under bid those Air Ambulance Providers maintaining the highest quality standards. Substandard Air Ambulance Companies do so by shaving usual and customary costs associated with aircraft maintenance, appropriate medical equipment with up to date technology, reduced or no medical crew training upon employment, and engaging pilots with fewer flight hours of experience. This last week the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has at least tentatively revoked another Air Ambulance Providers License to operate based upon safety concerns. Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance Services has predicted these days of rising oil costs for some time and as a result, have implemented several principles to align safe Air Medical Transportation with overall cost savings to hospitals, insurance companies, and private payers.
"Angel MedFlight is always seeking prevailing situations that will assist hospitals, insurance companies, or private paying patients reduce their overall expenditures associated with an Air Ambulance Transport however, we will never compromise a patient or a family's safety," states Jeremy Freer, Chief Executive Officer. Through acquisitions and a series of alliances Angel MedFlight maintains a fleet of strategically positioned and dedicated air ambulance aircraft throughout the United States. This fleet provides the company with greater autonomy than any other Air Ambulance provider as flights remaining vacant are minimized considerably. As a result cost savings are then passed onto the client.
Angel MedFlight's "One Touch Promise" was created in order to assist those in need of safe Air Medical Transportation, this remains the heart of the cost savings model. "Our "One Touch Promise" encompasses all those concerns family members may have when needing to transport a loved one," states Kristin Weivoda, Chief Operations Officer. She gives further details describing the overall process, "It is a system where our medically trained Flight Coordinators acts as a patient advocate. When our Flight Coordinators speak with the patient or family member they will ask a series of questions in order to determine the most appropriate means of executing the transport. Our staff will make every arrangement for the family while keeping them personally involved. Our overall goal is for the family to spend time with each other in this critical period, not to worry about transportation arrangements. When transferring a patient to another hospital, we will ensure the accepting bed is completely setup for the patient as they arrive and the accepting physician is at the bedside. We feel that perhaps the unsurpassed advantage to the patient and family is that we will handle every aspect of working with the health insurance companies to obtain the authorizations, submitting the claim on the patient's behalf, and continued follow up on such claims. Additionally, not many people recognize that their family member may not even need the expense of a private jet for air medical transportation. It is very common that a large number of our patients can fly in a first class seat on a commercial airline, they only need a little medical assistance from one of our Critical Care Flight Nurses. This is one of the items that our Flight Coordinators will evaluate as they speak with each client."
In the coming months Angel MedFlight plans to roll out an additional operating model that will add tremendous benefit to hospitals, insurance companies, and private parties. "From the CEO of each hospital to the Case Manager and onto the patient, everyone across the board in the United States will experience significant cost savings in the Air Ambulance Industry from this amazing model Mr. Freer has laid out", stated Mr. Timothy Dudgeon, member of the board.
