G.I.'s Coming Home and Finding NO HOME!

Nov 04, 2009

TEMECULA, CA -- "Uncle Sam is calling investors to action," said Annie B Simmons, President/CEO "and Autumn Leaf Investment Association (Temecula, CA) is answering the call." Autumn Leaf just returned from the El Paso Multifamily Housing Forum hosted by NAHB Research Center. With such tumultuous activity in the real estate market these past few years; many investors have pulled back and hidden from the market. Not so, for Autumn Leaf Investment Association and its proud members.

Fort Bliss - El Paso, Texas has been building and preparing since 2005 for the 10's of thousands of troops that have already arrived and will be arriving from now through 2012. Autumn Leaf Investment Association has a long history in Texas (since 2002) and its members have enjoyed steady returns from their investments throughout Texas. While so many organizations of its kind have closed their doors and walked away, Autumn Leaf has remained ever present and committed to its members and community. With the eminent arrival of so many soldiers to Fort Bliss, the military and the El Paso, Texas community is in desperate need of multifamily housing. Barely 15 months from now, the city is expected to run smack into one of the biggest housing challenges that has come with the expansion at Fort Bliss: NOT ENOUGH HOUSING!

"We think the summer of 2010 is when there will be more demand for off-post living than there are places to live," said Chuck Harre, chair of the Armed Forces Division of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce. "The majority of the dwellings used by the soldiers will be rentals." Autumn Leaf was on site to help El Paso and the military with the more than 8,000 multifamily housing shortages in El Paso, Texas. Autumn Leaf Investment Association is calling on all its members and investors to take advantage of this extreme shortage and help our Nation's G.I.'s by making sure that every service member has a home to come home to with his/her family. For more information and to learn how to help and take advantage of this tremendous opportunity contact Chad J Ward, COO Autumn Leaf Investment Association at 877.257.3421 or visit their website www.autumnleafinvestmentassociation.com.

"There's ways to do it, but you have to work it out and figure it out ... I've already heard from some of the builders during the break, they've already got some ideas ... So I'm pretty optimistic," said Maj. Gen. Howard Bromberg, the commander of Fort Bliss. "It was a privilege to meet Maj. Gen. Bromberg and hear his expert opinion and evaluation of the housing challenges," said, Chad J Ward, COO Autumn Leaf Investment Association. Chad continued, "Autumn Leaf will continue our relationship in El Paso, Texas and is stepping forward to be the premier educator and information source for investors." Autumn Leaf is looking at this opportunity as a ready made opportunity to help and make significant long-term returns for its members and investors across the country. Autumn Leaf intends to educate their organization and local community and extends an invitation to all other organizations around the country to join them in building homes for our veteran soldiers coming home.

The City of El Paso Economic Development Department is diligently working on proposals under the leadership of Kathryn B. Dodson, PhD, Director Economic Development. Autumn Leaf Investment Association had the privilege of meeting and hearing Kathryn's thought on the problem and some real solutions. Hearing Kathryn's solutions that included a rebate of any increases to property taxes that come as a result of the new development being rebated back to the builder/owner was a huge incentive to Autumn Leaf as an investment organization. As our economy continues its recovery, it is a refreshing thing to view a community that is suffering growing pains. Annie B Simmons, President/CEO Autumn Leaf Investment Association is happy to say, "We are going to be part of the solution for El Paso, Texas, the soldiers and their families."
