Non-Profit Organizations Benefit From Funutation Tech Camps

Jul 02, 2007

BEACHWOOD, OHIO -- The Educational Resource Center in South Euclid, Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland Heights, and Caring Communities of Summit County are just a few of the examples of non-profit organizations benefiting from computer camps run by Funutation Tech Camps. "Teaching science, technology, and engineering to all children is our mission." says Camp Director, Ted Jordan.

Dorian Crenshaw, the instructor for these camps, is himself from the Glenville area and currently working toward his Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. He has seen the value of gaining technical skills and wants to share that knowledge with others. The camps focus on teaching Video Game Creation, Robotronics, and Digital Music to approximately 100 children between the ages of 7 and 17 at these and other locations.

Learning technical skills are part of the tool kit to success and prosperity for these youth as they determine the path to their future destinations. "There is still a significant dearth of students enrolling in university technology programs, putting America at serious disadvantage", states Jordan.

For more information on these camps or to ask about bringing them to a non-profit organization, contact Funutation Tech Camps at (216) 767-1393.

Funutation Tech Camps teaches kids ages 7-17 Science, Technology, and Engineering in a fun way. Funutation focuses on Open-Source & Linux to make courses more available for students worldwide.
