Oracle Management Specialists Xynomix Announce Business Partnership with NetApp

NOTTINGHAM, UK -- Xynomix has stated that a union with NetApp will allow both companies to supplement each others' business practices, providing support for ISV applications and Oracle database instances as one service.

The partnership has developed in response to the need for application sales and support that takes the relationship between an application and Oracle database into account. The solution offered by Xynomix and NetApp is being described within the company as a "complete applications and database performance solution".

Xynomix is focused primarily on Oracle managed services, support and consultancy for databases sitting on Unix Operating Systems.  "As we occupy a fairly niche segment of the Oracle services market, we need to build relationships with enterprises focusing on other areas", says newly-appointed Marketing Executive Jules Pedersen:  "NetApp in one such enterprise".

Founded in 1992, NetApp bring expertise in data management and storage solutions to the partnership with Xynomix.  Says Xynomix's technical director, the partnership will involve "reduced Oracle TOC and management costs and improved DBA productivity for clients, along with standardised database instances and consolidated, scalable data storage" [Xynomix Technical Director]

The NetApp / Xynomix association is set to be the first of a series of proactive partnership moves for Xynomix, as the company continues to strengthen its market position.
