Brooks Rand Labs Announces New LiNX Wireless Sample Digestion System

Mar 22, 2011

SEATTLE, WA, U.S.A. -- Brooks Rand Labs has introduced LiNX, the first wirelessly controlled sample digestion system on the market. Controlled through Bluetooth from the LiNX software and PC, the software allows for up to 8 LiNX digestion blocks to be controlled simultaneously from up to 100 meters.

Ideal for the digestion of virtually any type of sample for trace metals analysis, the LiNX provides exceptional advantages over existing digestion blocks currently on the market. Other programmable blocks are controlled from a control box that may or may not have a display. Each control box is only capable of controlling 1 or 2 blocks, adding significantly to the cost. With LiNX, up to 8 blocks be controlled simultaneously from one software license. In addition, the LiNX software plots the temperature in real time for each block. LiNX allows the user to retain electronic files or print the actual temperature data for good record keeping and documentation purposes, eliminating the need for the lab technician to manually document the block temperature.

Temperature can be monitored using the internal temperature sensor or using the optional external temperature probe which can be placed in a sample. The graphite block is Teflon coated for complete acid resistance and all internal electronics are encased in an acid resistant resin, therefore avoiding the frequent corrosion issues plaguing other systems. The LiNX is provided with a 2 year standard warranty.
