New M50 Refund Website Crashes

DUBLIN, IRELAND -- Motorists who use the M50 are being urged to continue their efforts to register on a new website offering a free €250 refund on M50 Tag Registration and Costs - despite the website crashing.

The website, set-up by Dublin based office manager Robbert J. Lynch and PR consultant Joseph Kerr, aims to take some of the financial 'sting' out of the cost of using the M50 by offering one lucky M50 motorist a €250 Refund of their M50 Tag Registration and Costs every month.

Robbert Lynch said "The website crash, caused by the number of people trying to register, came as a bit of a surprise. We only started sending out a few e-mails to a handful of people last week, but news of the site seems to have spread virally by word-of-mouth. Considering it's free to register on the site, that there are no costs involved - no subscriptions, no premium texts, no hidden processing fees or costs - M50 users have nothing to lose!" he went on "A lot of motorists are unhappy with the costs associated with using the M50 and they like the idea of getting something back - especially if its for FREE!".

Following the website overload Lynch and Kerry have made several changes to the site to enable it to handle future volumes of 'hits' it receives from motorists registering.

Registration on the site is free and is open to motorists who have registered for an M50 Tag as well as pay-as-you-go M50 users. Motorists simply go to www.M50Refund.com register their details - no credit card or home address is needed. The first lucky winner of the M50 Refund will be announced on the M50Refund website on Thursday 30th October 2008.

Lynch said "At the moment the site is only able to offer one refund per month to M50 users, but we hope to increase this number in the coming months."

About the Website
To date over 120,000 motorists have registered for an M50 Tag under the new barrier free tolling system. The website allows users of the M50 to win a refund on the cost of their M50 Tag Registration and Costs to the value of €250 per month. Motorists simply have to register on www.M50Refund.com. All registered users will receive an e-mail when the next winner is chosen and will have 7 days to claim the €250 Refund.

Registering on the site is free. There are no costs involved, no fees, no charges and no premium texts required. The website is not associated with the National Road Authority (NRA) or any of the M50 Tag providing companies. The website will fund itself through advertising on-site and the use of opt-in permission based e-mail marketing campaigns.
