Boomer Women Invited to Join Boomer Diva Nation

Jun 26, 2008

DURHAM, NC -- Another new website community for boomer women is making its debut. It's called Boomer Diva Nation and it's a non-profit organization geared for women who are on the move and making a difference.

Boomer Diva Nation website owner and self-proclaimed baby boomer diva, Beverly Mahone, says the site is designed to offer up-to-date content on current issues affecting boomer women, along with a variety of resources to assist women in their endeavors. It's also a place where women can network. "We established non-profit status as an organization recently. The best part of Boomer Diva Nation is the members are very talented and diverse," according to Mahone. "They come from all walks of life and different races and they are eager to share their knowledge and resources."

Boomer Diva Nation
is a springboard of the Baby Boomer Diva Web of Fame, which was created in 2007 by Mahone. The baby boomer expert and author says the Web of Fame was her way to recognize baby boomer women who are on the move and making a difference. "We are honored to have celebrities like actresses Debbie Zipp and Bern Nadette Stanis who are active members and want to offer their assistance in helping BDN grow."

The Baby Boomer Diva Web of Fame is made up of women from North Carolina, Ohio, California, Texas, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Canada and as far away as Australia. To qualify for the Baby Boomer Diva Web of Fame, Ms. Mahone says a woman must meet the following criteria:
1) Born between 1946 and 1960
2) Pursuing her passion in life
3) Striving to help others succeed
4) Have overcome one major personal or professional challenge/obstacle
5) Accept aging with grace, dignity and style

Mahone points out the fact that she wants everyone to know that being 40 and over doesn't mean women have lost their stride. She says, "The media wants to convince us that 50 is the new 40 and 40 is the new 30. That's NOT true! Fifty is still 50 no matter how you slice it or dice it. Instead, I want the world to know we've just made prime time baby!www.boomerdivanation.org
