Woman is Finalist in $10,000 Motivate Me Challenge

Nov 03, 2007

ORANGE COUNTY, CA -- Local resident, Vanora Sucrate, Stanton, has been announced as a finalist in the National Home Trainers "Motivate Me" $10,000 contest. Sucrate lost over 150 lbs in less than one year and she even designed her own backyard obstacle course to make exercise more fun.

"I feel awesome," Sucrate said. "It is amazing how much I really need the work outs. My trainer, Jon works out with me a couple times a week and he has made it so much fun. "

Like most overweight people, Sucrate did not want the hassle of joining a gym and dealing with prying eyes and feeling out of place. She wanted to feel comfortable and she needed personalized attention. She also did not have the time to spend driving to the gym, waiting to get on a piece of equipment and dealing with the lack of help from unqualified trainers. She needed a program that she knew she would be comfortable doing and fit into her hectic schedule.

"At a large gym or health club, it is tough to feel totally at home when you are overweight," Alan Prior, CEO of National Home Trainers said. "You spend so much time driving to the gym, waiting to get on equipment, and then there is the stigma of the cliques and everyone looking at you; I should know I lost over 80 lbs myself."

The $10,000 Motivate Me Challenge was designed by Prior to motivate and educate people across America about fitness coming to them. National Home Trainers has grown to reach people in 39 states and currently offers in home and in office fitness services to everyone from the Actress or sports player to the stay at home mom. Prior decided that it was time to get the public motivated about fitness and he stresses that they can fit it into their schedule.

"Americans are so pressed for time" Prior said, "Now restaurants deliver meals right to the door, dry cleaners pick up and drop off, groceries deliver, there is even a service that comes and removes pet waste from the yard because it is just plain more convenient. With a trainer coming to you, there are no excuses why you can t get up and exercise."

National Home Trainers provides certified and or degreed personal trainers, yoga teachers and Pilates Teachers that are fully background checked and have experience in the industry. They not only come and knock on your door; they bring all of the functional fitness equipment that you would need to get a good workout.

"(I am) Glad I found National Home Trainers," Sucrate said, "or the way I was gaining weight and the stressful stuff I have dealt with that Jon (my trainer) has helped me get through, I probably would be in the high 400 lb. by now. So by finding National Home Trainers, it truly saved my life mentally and physically.

Prior revels in the fact that he has been able to help thousands of clients nationwide get motivated about fitness and change their lives for the better. He looks forward for the next MOTIVATE ME CHALLENGE to get more people involved in fitness.

"At the end of the day I can look into the mirror and feel good about my life," Prior said. "I love helping people reach their goals and change their lives. I am thrilled Vanora is a finalist. She has worked very hard to be where she is and we have helped her every step of the way."
