Girlfriends Spring Break Gets National Spotlight

Mar 28, 2008

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA -- There will be more than just fun in the sun for women attending the First Annual Baby Boomer Girlfriend's Spring Break in Daytona Beach, Florida. Issues affecting women at midlife and beyond will be discussed during the taping of a Town Hall Meeting by PBS Station WCEU-TV on April 18, 2008. The program is being called Boomer Women: Having Our Say.

The televised forum will consist of a panel of nationally recognized female boomer advocates who will address topics such as menopause, caring for aging parents, entrepreneurship, reinventing yourself after 50, as well as lifestyle choices.

The town hall meeting coincides with the First Annual Baby Boomer Girlfriends Spring Break scheduled for April 18-20 at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. Women from around the country are expected to gather for a weekend of education, entertainment and empowerment. "This trail-blazing event is being created to offer mature women a total empowerment experience," says baby boomer expert and author Beverly Mahone, whose company, BAM Enterprises, is sponsoring the three-day affair.

In addition to the town hall meeting, there will be a host of other activities including a vendor shopping mall, pamper me mini-spas, a celebrity luncheon, an award dinner/banquet, cash giveaways and an over 40 pa-jamming party.

Admittance to the Town Hall Meeting is by reservation only but all other activities are open to the public. To reserve your seat for the television taping or to receive additional information, contact Beverly Mahone at 301-356-6280 or visit her website: http://www.beverlymahone.com

A portion of the weekend's proceeds generated by BAM Enterprises will benefit the American Heart Association.
